What to do now?

Getting your tapes transferred is straightforward. Here is exactly what happens, from the first phone call to your memories coming back on a USB stick.

Step by step

  • 1. Tell us what you have - the formats and rough quantity. A photo of the pile is perfect.
  • 2. We confirm the price and the turnaround before anything starts.
  • 3. You can drop your tapes off with us in London by arrangement, or send them by post from anywhere in the UK.
  • 4. We clean, repair where needed, transfer and watch back every tape.
  • 5. Your digital files come back by WeTransfer, USB, hard drive or DVD — with the originals.

Posting your tapes safely

Wrap each tape in bubble wrap, pack them snugly in a strong box so nothing rattles, and send by Royal Mail Special Delivery or a tracked courier so the parcel is insured. Include a note with your name, phone number, email address and what you would like doing.

Never post tapes loose in a jiffy bag — the shells crack. If a tape is already broken, do not try to wind it back yourself; send it as it is and we will repair it.

Call 0207 430 1811 or email CopyMyTapes@gmail.com and we will confirm the format, the price and the turnaround before any work starts.
